Semi-Normal Life & A Marathon

I have officially, as of Tuesday March 23rd - been back in America 3 whole months, and my life is perhaps a tad less adventurous in Morgantown, West Virginia, but it is certainly no less hectic - filled with one major development after another...

Taking a brief hiatus from blogging, nearly 2 months without a post and this is what my life has been filled with/major life updates:

1) I was officially accepted to grad school in Scotland, and plan to pursue my Masters in International Marketing Management, beginning next September at Robert Gordon University. So I've been figuring out all the details that studying internationally and grad school entails...

2) I have been working, working, working at Muriale's in Fairmont (come visit anytime)!

3) Trying to find the motivation to "finish well" in classes - finding I have a major case of senior-itis!

4) Adjusting to not living at home for the first time. Realizing for the first time that dinners don't cook themselves and the trash actually has to be taken out!

5) As of a 1.5 weeks ago - I decided I'm going to finally run a marathon! So I'm training/planning to run the "Flying Pig Marathon" in Cincinnati on May 2!

I have 40 days left of training and thought I would use the next 40 days to challenge friends and acquaintances to also run a race, and post fun running recipes, healthy living tips, or just motivational quotes that keep me going each day on my blog. So here it goes...

Find a local race. Go to: http://www.iplayoutside.com - to find a local race around the Morgantown area. If you want to run a race the same weekend as my marathon - try the Cheat Fest 5K Run & Walk in Kingwood. http://cheat.org/festival/roadrace/.

Print out a training schedule: Go to http://runnersworld.com and click on the "Training" tab. Then go to the "SMARTCOACH" box. Type in the appropriate information, and ta-da! you have a plan!
