Week 1 - TOP 10

10. Running at the Beach in the morning! Love those early morning prayer runs...
9. Cleaning, Preparing, Orgainzing the Hotel for the students...for 8 Hours!
8. "Taste" - the name of the cutest local wine/coffee shop/cafe and future location for discipleship appointments!
7. The Beach - I've only spent about 3 hours on the Beach, because we've been so busy! But the ocean, the sand, the waves - so refreshing!
6. Sharing the Gospel - Yesterday we went sharing as a staff team. Brock, fellow staff member and sharing partner for the day, went with me to share on the Boardwalk. First we talked to a pastor and his wife, who were very encouraging. Then we shared with a family - mom, dad, and son! I am continually reminded that people really do not know the promise and forgiveness that is found in Christ. It was a joy to share with them the forgiveness and eternal life that Christ provides, that sins are not ranked in order of severity, and that good works will not get you into heaven. Finally, we got to talk with a 22 year old man named William, who looked homeless, and who could hear, but not talk. We were able to communicate with William through writing on a piece of paper. We would ask questions, and he would write. William was looking for a job, so we asked if we could pray for him - immediately he stood up in agreement, we joined hands and prayed with William on the Boardwalk.
5. Thank you Kendra for introducing me to ... Tedashii
4. Our Hotel - Can anyone say Antibacterial Spray??
3. Getting to know the Staff Team :) They are all so inspiring, loving and encouraging...
2. Hillsong United Concert - 13 of the staff men and women went to a Hillsong United Concert at a local church in VA Beach! It was an amazing time of PRAISE and WORSHIP. I was reminded of the fact that as believers we are called to be light and radiate "heaven on earth".
1. Calvary Evangelical Baptist Church - 1 of 4 "white people" in the whole entire church! Need I say more? What an incredible display of the body of Christ. Everyone was so inviting and definitely the most welcoming church I have ever been to!
